Chunky Pooh Pooh Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut Butter Cookies….

  • measuring cups
  • whisk or mixing spoon
  • fork
  • measuring spoons (teaspoons, tablespoons)
  • cookie sheet (ungreased)
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • oven

  • 1 cup sugar (OR 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown sugar)
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) at room temperature
  • 2-1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.

  2. Place butter in mixing bowl. With a whisk or mixing spoon, beat the butter until smooth and then and sugar. Mix well.

  3. Add the peanut butter and eggs to the bowl. Mix well.

TIP: An extra egg will make a chewier cookie. If you add fewer eggs, you will get a crumbly cookie. This recipe calls for 2 whole eggs, so it's very moist.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix well.

  5. Add dry ingredients to the sugar and butter mixture. Combine well.

  6. To form cookies, roll dough into 1-1/4 inch balls, flatten slightly and, using a fork, make a crisscross pattern on top of each dough ball. Place balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until almost golden-brown.
